Perpetual Doom

Perpetual Doom Records has announced the September 19th release of “Best Of Generifus,” a retrospective compilation from Washington State’s Spencer Sult. Spanning two decades, the album gathers 15 tracks from his ever-evolving catalog, highlighting Sult’s intimate, enduring songwriting. These songs, drawn from bedroom tapes and recent full-lengths, offer a beautifully distilled introduction to an artist whose melodies feel found rather than made—a gentle monument to staying true while moving forward.

While Lee Baggett’s playing may sometimes recall Neil Young of old, the lyrics on Waves for a Begull bend to a more positive vibe that seems to find new ways to discover joy–an antidote for these troubled times.

With a voice that echoes the spirit of Neil Young and a profound connection to the desert southwest of New Mexico, AJ Woods brings a personal touch to his music with Hawk Is Listenin’, a diverse collection of soulful songs that reflect his deep understanding of the region.

On Echo Me On, everything goes down so smoothly that Lee Baggett’s songs take you by total surprise; he says so much but with such effortless grace. Features in Folk Radio’s Top 100 Albums of 2023.
