peatbog faeries

With ‘I See A World’, the Peatbog Faeries have done it again – with infectious rhythms, sublime musicianship, a fine ear for experimentation, and a loving respect for Scots tradition, this is a rousing and breath-taking album – they sound as passionate, eager, and energised as they’ve ever been.

Watch the latest video from Valtos (Skye Natives Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald) for their remix of Peatbog Faeries ‘Marx Terrace’, on which they add their own twist and ‘Valtos flair’. It features some great clips from their sold-out show at SWG3, Glasgow.

This week’s show is largely Christmas / Winter themed featuring festive music from Johnny Cunningham & Susan McKeown, Maggie Boyle & Gary Boyle, Sufjan Stevens, as well as new music from Kate Rusby, O’Hooley & Tidow, Peatbog Faeries and Damien O’Kane.

Providing more energy than a tanker full of Lucozade, 25 years on the Peatbog Faeries sound every bit as fresh and, above all, enthusiastic as they did when they headed out from Skye all those years ago. Live@25 is an exceptional live album by an exceptional live band.
