The Folklore Tapes Ceremonial Counties series continues with Vol.XXII: Tyne and Wear | Somerset. Maryanne Royle’s “The Stone Throat” takes listeners into Newcastle’s Victoria Tunnel, blending social history, hauntology and post-industrial soundscape into one of the series’ most atmospheric pieces. Paddy Steer’s “Swerving Coach” is its perfect foil — a fidgety, fascinating folly from Somerset’s most haunted corners.

Unorthodox Paradox Festival takes place from 11th / 12th / 13th September 2015 in Shropshire featuring diverse and eclectic music and performance, from the calming & pastoral to the wildly psychedelic and more. Just £30 for the full weekend.

Our Song of the Day is from Toolshed, conceived in 1998 by Graham Massey (808 State) whose growing membership featured the likes of Paddy Steer.

Stealing Sheep have released a new EP via Bandcamp, the NYE Remixes are free for a limited time only and features a number of their favourite remixes.

Paddy Steer has done a great remix of Vadoinmessico ‘In Spain’ which you can listen to below. Anyone familiar with Paddy’s 2009 release ‘Dragon’s Breath’ will know of his incredible ability in sound creation.
