Neilson Hubbard

Joined by Neilson Hubbard and Will Kimbrough, Dean Owens’s Pictures is an album haunted by ghosts and anchored by love, it might just well be the best he’s ever made.

Backed by a very strong cast of musicians, Neilson Hubbard returns with ‘Digging Up The Scars’, a simple, yet affecting and deeply resonant album looking at coming to terms with the past, of finding acceptance and healing.

Watch ‘Digging Up The Scars’, the title track of the new album from Neilson Hubbard – “Digging up the scars is about digging for the truth in ourselves and each other…. to ask the questions and not be afraid of the answers.”

Buffalo Blood is a US/UK music collective made up of Dean Owens, Neilson Hubbard, Joshua Britt and Audrey Spillman. Watch their video for ‘I’m Alive’ from their upcoming album which will premiere at Celtic Connections.

As a producer, Hubbard has been attached to some of the finest Americana albums of the past decade, most recently Mary Gauthier’s Rifles and Rosary Beads. He can now add his own to that list.

Heart of the Cave is an album inspired by an invite to explore Osimo, a town in Italy under whose streets lie 2,500-year-old caves with tunnels that once hosted religious secret societies. It’s an album that touches on the core of existence and spirituality and the shadows that hover around the fringes.

Soundtrack to a Ghost Story is an outstanding album, the brainchild of producer Neilson Hubbard in collaboration with Ben Glover and fellow singer-songwriter Joshua Britt, the album and its accompanying documentary are rooted in Civil War history.
