Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum shares ‘Real Death,’ a heartbreaking song from his forthcoming album A Crow Looked at Me which was written following the loss of Geneviève Castrée, his wife and mother of their child.

Northern Latitudes was inspired by two field recordings made by Chris Watson for a CD called ‘The Sea Ice Border’. It comprises of two recordings: 89 24 N Below and 89 24 N Above. Both feature in the mix at the beginning and end. The music in between was chosen based on the feel of those sounds.
