Midlake have released “Days Gone By,” a new single from their upcoming album ‘A Bridge To Far’, out November 7th. The track is accompanied by a spellbinding video starring Emmy-nominated actor James Lance (Ted Lasso). The band also announced a UK and European tour for 2026. This release follows the lead single “The Ghouls,” building anticipation for their sixth studio album.

Midlake returns with their sixth studio album, A Bridge To Far, on November 7th. Produced by Sam Evian, the album features the new single and video “The Ghouls,” a song born from a period of uncertainty that ultimately inspired the band to move forward. The record is a profound meditation on hope, featuring guest vocals from Madison Cunningham, Hannah Cohen and Meg Lui.

While Midlake have not deserted the sounds of yore, they have reinterpreted the repertoire on For the Sake of Bethel Woods, sounding more willing to experiment. There is a sense of liberation in the music. No one is holding them back any longer.

Midlake announce 10th-anniversary deluxe reissue of The Trials of Van Occupanther via Bella Union. The original album will be accompanied by a special bonus 7” featuring two previously unreleased tracks. Listen to ‘The Fairest Way’.

Midlake have announced the London film screening of Midlake: Live in Denton, TX along with a Q&A with Jason Lee, Eric Noren and Eric Pulido at Hackney Picture House on Feb 26.

Midlake agreed to do a session for Sideshow Alley TV, a recently set up video session outfit whom I couldn’t find out much about but I thought this was a great session. So here they are. Midlake performing Small Mountain in an alleyway in Australia. I look forward to seeing more sessions!
