LAU

Award-winning folk trio Lau bring their jubilant Lau-Land festival back to Edinburgh’s Summerhall and The Queen’s Hall this Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October for another open-hearted celebration of music, community and the artists who inspire them.

Not to be missed: On their latest release, Lau went way back to the music that made them. This Sunday watch the launch of their Folk Songs EP via an exclusive online concert.

Celebrating 15 Years of Reveal Records label “Home Is Where The Art Is” is the first Reveal compilation including Joan As Police Woman, Kris Drever, LAU, Boo Hewerdine and more. We talk to label founder and owner Tom Rose.

An entrancing and memorable interpretation of a fine collection of classic folk songs from LAU. As an EP it is a perfect selection of a rich and beguiling set of tunes.

Lau announces new live album ‘Unplugged’ and tour. Kris Drever, Aidan O’Rourke and Martin Green recreate and rearrange material from across their catalogue for the Unplugged tour. The album highlights about an hour of raw, stripped-down Lau performance, with no studio overdubs or re-recording.

This is music in evolution. Melody, poetry, emotion and memory weave in and out like stories. Midnight And Closedown is the next chapter in Lau’s fascinating story. As ever from Lau, it’s a unique and exceptional album.

Watch Lau live in session at Silk Mill Studios performing Return to Portland from their new album Midnight and Closedown. Out this Friday, February 8th via Reveal Records.
