First released in 1965, The Watersons’ seminal traditional folk album ‘Frost And Fire: A Calendar of Ritual and Magical Songs’, is to be re-released by Topic Records with a vinyl pressing at 45RPM.

Domino Records have shared a previosuly unreleased demo from Lal & Mike Waterson. One Of Those Days was recorded in 1971 and is one of 12 demos featured on the forthcoming Deluxe re-Issue of their folk-noir masterpiece Bright Phoebus.

Bright Phoebus, Lal and Mike Waterson’s 1972 folk-noir masterpiece is to be reissued. Under the supervision of David Suff (Topic/Fledging) and Marry Waterson (daughter of Lal), the album has been remastered from the original tapes.

Our Song of the Day comes from Waterson:Carthy, this Union Chapel gig from 2002 was recorded live for BBC4 and for this performance featured both Saul Rose and Tim Van Eyken alongside Norma Waterson, Martin and Eliza Carthy.
