As part of the Unwrapped Series at Kings Place, London, Unity in Song is a weekend celebration of powerful voices from the folk tradition, and the joy of community singing. Ft. Martin & Eliza Carthy, Cara Dillon, Peggy Seeger, Green Ribbons and more.

Folk on Foot are to co-curate “Wild Singing”, a weekend of live performance at Kings Place featuring Martin Simpson, Eliza Carthy, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, The Rheingans Sisters, Kitty Macfarlane, The Shackleton Trio & more.

Time & Tradition is a fantastic weekend series of concerts, storytelling and talks exploring the concept of time through traditional and contemporary folk music and ritual and seasonal customs, as part of Kings Place’s Time Unwrapped.

From now and into the New Year there are some great Folk and Americana acts lined up at London’s Kings Place including Talisk, Melrose Quartet, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Julie Fowlis, Lúnasa and The Albion Christmas Band.

Over the next month, Kings Place will be hosting some of the very best Folk artists including Marry Waterson & David A. Jaycock, Faustus, Maddy Prior, Noel Hill as well as two Album launches from Leveret and Martin Simpson.

Kings Place announces Folk & Americana line-up for May/June 2017 including Lankum, Calan, Quercus, Anna & Elizabeth + Eli West, Daphne’s Flight, Martha Tilston, Kris Drever, Altan, Sam Lee and more.

Race The Loser presents Lau as a band very much in control of their own destiny; super-charged with confident, free-thinking music that will continue to enthral existing fans and kindle interest from an ever-widening audience.

An upcoming film NEVADA featuring some of Lau’s new album: Race The Loser is to be screened as part of the band’s Kings Place mini festival weekend “Welcome To Lau-Land”

This Friday, 27 January at Kings Place sees a performance of a different kind. The use of Folk music in British Film feat. live performance by The Memory Band & Lisa Knapp.

Songlines Magazine is having its inaugral ‘Songlines Encounters Festival’ at London’s Kings Place on June 23-25. The event is to be curated by Songlines editor in chief, Simon Broughton and eight concerts have been programmed featuring major artists (see below) that Songlines are pleased to be championing.
