Light in the attic celebrates the 50th anniversary of Karen Dalton’s masterpiece, In my own time, with definitive, bonus-filled reissues. Includes previously-unreleased live performance audio, including Live at The Montreux Golden Rose Pop Festival (1971), plus alternate studio takes, rarely seen photos and more.

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Karen Dalton’s studio album “In My Own Time”, The Breath release two stirring tracks: ‘Something On Your Mind’ along with an accompanying video and ‘Remembering Mountains’, a song she wrote but never released.

Even the keenest Karen Dalton fans have been surprised by the recently revealed new footage of her performing at The Montreux Golden Rose Pop Festival in 1971. It features her performing four songs with a backing band.

Sing And They’ll Sing Your Song offers a broad showcase of releases on the Megaphone label over twenty years including Karen Dalton, Michael head and the Strands and Blind Blake, the singer who influenced the first million-selling album by a single artist, Harry Belafonte.

Often tribute albums can be overly reverent or lacking in musical coherence. Remembering Mountains successfully avoids both of these pitfalls. In fact, the only disappointing thing about these songs is that we will never get to hear Karen Dalton singing them herself.

Our Song of the Day is from Karen Dalton, a live version of her singing Red are the Flowers. It was recorded at a coffee house called The Attic in Boulder, Colorado in 1962.
