kadia

Kadia’s business card states that they perform, ‘Uplifting melodic folk music’ – and this fantastic young band do precisely that, and so much more besides, as ably demonstrated at this fantastic live performance.

Rising stars of the South West folk scene, Kadia, return with their latest EP ‘The Outlandish Collection’. Recorded in the studio, it allowed them to exercise a greater freedom and flexibility which comes across in a richer fuller sound.

Set in the beautiful scenery of the Purbeck Hills, Purbeck Valley Folk Festival pulled off another great year with a superb line-up including Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, Rory McLeod, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman, Villagers, Boo Hewerdine and more.

Kadia are a band to watch out for. This debut album confirms they are maturing rapidly as songwriters, as instrumentalists, as singers, as arrangers. They are the full package, destined to reach an ever widening audience.
