Our Tune of the Day comes from John McCusker who will be awarded the Good Tradition Award at this year’s BBC Folk Awards. The tune is from his forthcoming album ‘Hello Goodbye.

We have a song premiere today from the wonderful Heidi Talbot. Her new single ‘Christmas in September’ was written by Boo Hewerdine and produced by John McCusker. It’s released on 23rd November through Under One Sky Records.

The Ballads of Child Migration is an album of brand new songs from some of Britain’s finest folk musicians inspired by these heart breaking true stories and coincides with a new exhibition taking place at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood.

Merrymouth, a trio fronted by Ocean Colour Scene songwriter and vocalist Simon Fowler, return with a new album ‘Wenlock Hill’ in May via Navigator Records.

Possibly the album Eddi Reader was destined to make as she connects through the new-town, Glasgow overspill of Irvine and across 200 years to the town’s most famous son.
