Tightrope is the long-awaited second solo album from Joe Tilston, one which concerns walking that tightrope between despair and hope, as such, it casts Tilston very much as folk’s answer to Charles Blondin.
Recorded in Cornwall with the salt spray in the wind, The Sea gathers Martha Tilston’s family and friends, the people who have inspired her music for her first album traditional folksong.
Joe Tilston has revealed some unmastered tracks from his forthcoming album ‘Embers’. If these are anything to go by then we are in for a real treat and I hope this is a move to a full time solo career.
