After last year’s cancelled tour dates, Welsh band Mabon announce dates for their farewell tour as their band members embark on “new projects for some…and new chapters for others.”

After twenty years of good times, Welsh band Mabon have announced that they will be hanging up its boots next autumn. They have a got a “Last Huzzah!” tour planned for spring 2020 as well as final summer Festival dates.

Celebrating two decades of inspiring, original, ‘Interceltic’ world music, Twenty is an ideal introduction to Mabon, whilst long-time fans will fully appreciate the release as a successful document, capturing the essence of one of the most entertaining live acts around.

With Dead Man’s Dance (Dawns y Gŵr Marw) ALAW have not only created an impressive follow up to their 2013 debut, they’ve surpassed the brilliance of Melody with an even more invigorating, wider-ranging exploration of Welsh poetic and musical traditions. It is an inspired and unique album.

The annual InterCeltic festival have announced the names of the artists performing in Porthcawl in March. Among them is RURA from Scotland and Jamie Smith’s Mabon from Wales.

We catch up with our Artist of the Month, Jamie Smith’s Mabon, who are part-way through a very busy tour schedule. Jamie talks to Neil about the concept and inspirations behind their new album ‘The Space Between’.
