Iron and Wine

Iron & Wine shares video for “Thomas County Law” from Beast Epic, his forthcoming album due out August 25th on Sub Pop. The winsome and sly visual stars Sam Beam as a preacher preparing for a funeral service.

Iron & Wine will release Beast Epic, his first new material in over four years, on 25th August via Sub Pop. He has also delivered a video for the lead track, “Call It Dreaming,” which stars the singer and was directed by J. Austin Wilson. Watch it here.

Bob Boilen at NPR invited Sam Beam & Jesca Hoop to perform at his desk yesterday. The duo performed three songs from their latest album Love Letters For Fire – a great session, brimming with charm as well as laughter.

Sam Beam’s collaboration with Jesca Hoop is easily his best work in a while, and, on top of being a fine album, keeping his company will hopefully create a wider awareness of her charms too.

In his latest collaboration Sam Beam (Iron & Wine) shares songwriting duties for the first time as he teams up with Jesca Hoop for an album inspired by classic duets. In a new video they tell the story behind the album.

Following the release of Iron & Wine’s Archive Series Volume No. 1, Volume No. 2 is now upon us featuring two covers including Neil Young’s Albuquerque. Listen to it here and read our recent interview with Sam Beam.

If you can get on board with the diversity on offer (and why on earth wouldn’t you?), Sing Into My Mouth is a gloriously relaxed set of Summer songs from two musicians whose passion for their art shines through every groove. Get it on.

With their new album ‘Sing into My Mouth’ due out this week on 17th July, we talk to Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) and Ben Bridwell of Band of Horses about their new covers album. They turn thousands of miles into the back-porch of a local bar for Folk Radio; three cold beers and all the time in the world to shoot the breeze.

The Iron and Wine Archive Series Volume No. 1 offers previously unreleased stripped back bare bones recordings. These early-day songs make them a must for any fan of Sam Beam.

A new mix from FRUK: Lost in Transmission ii – feat: The Unthanks, Piers Faccini, Sir Richard Bishop, Karen Dalton, Sonny & the Sunsets, Iron & Wine and many more.

Iron and Wine delves into his early catalogue to release the first in a series of previously unreleased home recordings through his own label. Listen to Everyone’s Summer Of ’95, our Song of the Day.

Our Song of the Day is from Rhiannon Giddens and Iron & Wine performing “Forever Young.” The song is by Bob Dylan and first appeared on his 1974 Planet Waves.
