Poetry and Lyrics is a new festival dedicated to the relationship between poetry and music which will be hosted at London’s Kings Place featuring Cerys Matthews, Chris Wood, Gareth Bonello, Haiku Salut, Dizraeli and many more.
Our Song of the Day comes by way of a new video from that inventive Derbyshire trio Haiku Salut for Bleak and Beautiful (All Things) which is the first track from their forthcoming new album Etch And Etch Deep due for release on 31st July.
Our Song of the Day is ‘Periscopes’ which comes from a one off collaboration between the Derbyshire Dales trio Haiku Salut and Bristol electronica collective Jilk. It’s accompanied by a fantastic video.
Haiku Salut’s debut album Tricolore can’t be taken at face value, there are depths of colour and emotion here to set the imagination wandering (or wondering) and the spine tingling. This is an absolute gem of an album.
