The Imagined Village original lineup of Billy Bragg, Eliza and Martin Carthy, Simon Emmerson, Johnny Kalsi, Sheema Mukherjee, Jackie Oates, Andy Gangadeen, Simon Richmond and cellist Barney Morse Brown will reunite for a rare appearance at this year’s FolkEast.

Growing in stature every year, East Anglia’s fast-rising FolkEast is back for the seventh time this August with another great lineup including Oysterband, Show of Hands, The John Langan Band, John McCusker, Mike McGoldrick and John Doyle and many more.

The first names are announced for FolkEast 2017 which promises to be another fantastic year with names such as Jon Boden, Michael Chapman, Simpson, Cutting and Kerr, Martin Carthy & John Kirkpatrick, Ninebarrow and more.

One of the highlights of this year’s FolkEast Festival was Ushers Island whose lineup reads like an Irish traditional music hall of fame: Andy Irvine, Dónal Lunny, Paddy Glackin, Michael McGoldrick and John Doyle.

FolkEast have announced their first acts for 2016 which looks to be another promising year with Eliza Carthy’s Wayward Band, Blowzabella Irish supergroup Usher’s Island leading the way.
