Latter Day Sinner is the latest offering from Co.Down singer-songwriter Matt McGinn who has enlisted an impressive line-up of Northern Ireland musicians for this release. With albums like this, he could easily achieve the same reverence.

We continue our look back at the Best Albums of 2013 including: Gavin Davenport, Bella Hardy, eagleowl, Thirty Pounds of Bone, Arborea and many more.

There’s the sense as I leave, that without the curfew, Foy Vance would just have carried on. He’s not merely comfortable with what he’s doing, he’s damn well enjoying it and in that, he’s not alone.

Northern Ireland’s ‘Farriers’ come up trumps on their full length debut release ‘Years Ago In Our Backyard’, an album that matches the warmth of their live performances which will beckon you back for more.

The Farriers hail from Northern Ireland. Their music is influenced by a rich blend of Irish traditional folk / American roots. The result is upbeat and soulful songs which are full of spirit and tunes that endear you to sing along.
