Ireland-based singer-songwriter Peter Broderick announces his new EP, “The Wind That Shakes The Bramble” inspired by Robert Dwyer Joyce’s poem and his own obsession with and devotion to the blackberry plant.

Our Song of the Day comes from Californian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David Allred. Nature’s Course is taken from The Cell, a mini album set for release on June 14th via Erased Tapes.

It has been twenty years since the passing of English composer and multi-instrumentalist Simon Jeffes (the founder of Penguin Cafe Orchestra). To mark the Anniversary, Erased Tapes have reissued Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s final studio album ‘Union Cafe’, including a vinyl edition for the first time.

Find The Ways is a genuinely original album. It is rare for an album to successfully bridge the gap between the contemporary and the antiquated, but Allred and Broderick do it so well that you don’t even notice the joins.

Peter Broderick teams up with musical partner David Allred for new album Find the Ways and share new music video in which they sing unaccompanied but supported by some familiar sign carriers including BBC’s Mary Anne Hobbs.

Veteran Erased Tapes recording artist Peter Broderick is set to release his new studio album Partners – a series of voice and piano recordings in which he experiments with chance, surrendering an entire song’s composition to the roll of dice.

We introduced Douglas Dare in July last year and it looks like 2013 could be his year. Having just signed to the Erased Tapes he is about to emabark on a European Tour with fellow label artist Ólafur Arnalds. Listen to his latest demo ‘Scars’.

Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds is set to release his first Hollywood film score for Sam Levinson’s Sundance Winning feature film debut ‘Another Happy Day’, starring Ellen Barkin and Demi Moore. The album is release via UK modern classical label Erased Tapes Records who also released ‘A Winged Sullen for the Victory‘. Ólafur has proven yet again that the space between the notes evoke as much power as the music itself. …

Living Room Songs is the latest project from Icelandic multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Ólafur Arnalds. A free song will be released daily for one week.

A Winged Victory For The Sullen is the new collaborative project between Stars Of The Lid founder Adam Wiltzie and L.A. composer Dustin O’Halloran. The album drifts just above melancholia, maintaining an air of understated sadness and beauty that makes those uplifting moments all the more potent.
