Sam Brookes talks to FRUK exclusively about joining a choir as a child, inspired by his mother, to his father’s workshop and guitars, to sharing a stage on Newton Faulker’s sell out tour.

The Big Mix music festival which is organised by Macmillan Cancer Support returns to Shoreditch, London this Saturday 18th June with an even bigger line-up of artists as well as comedy, fashion, cabaret and art.

The much loved Emily and the Woods is due to release her new EP titled ‘Eye to Eye’ on May 4th. You can watch her new video for ‘Steal His Heart’ below which features a mammoth chase by a postman from London to Brighton!

Emily and the Woods has just recorded a video session for Secret Session on which she sings songs from her new EP which features Ted from Mumford and Sons as well as Marcus from Willkommen Collective. Watch it below:

We are big fans of Emily and the Woods here on Folk Radio UK. We first heard her at a Communion Night in Bristol. Since then she has been busy finishing her studies at University and has managed to release a great music video for Never Play.
