Curse of Lono

Introspective, reflective, and, at times, steeped in memories of darkness and despair, but always reaching to take hold of the light, People in Cars is Curse of Lono’s most personal album to date and, while not as urgent as past outings, the accumulative impact is mesmerising.

On 4am And Counting, Curse Of Lono deliver a series of assured and masterful live studio performances, for an outstanding album that can sit proudly alongside its two predecessors.

Curse of Lono have lived up to the promise of their fascinating début and somehow manage to offer even more. There are big ideas and compelling prose, and that music is just thrilling. As I Fell is an exceptional album.

After a tantalising introduction to Curse of Lono last year, their debut album ‘Severed’ is finally here. It plays like an album from a band who have been developing their performance for many years and it’s one they can be immensely proud of.

A band that should be on everyone’s radar for 2017 is the new London five-piece Curse of Lono – catch their headline show at the Water Rats in London on Thursday 20th April. If you need convincing then watch their video for Pick Up the Pieces.

Watch the new video from Curse of Lono (formed by Felix Bechtolsheimer of British roots pioneers HEY NEGRITA) taken from their self-titled debut EP on October 14th. To mark the release they will be embarking on their first UK tour this Autumn with Texan roots rockers Uncle Lucius.
