Beautifully presented in both aural and physical form (as an illustrated book CD), Christine Collister’s ‘Children of the Sea’ is a beguiling, intoxicating listen and read – a career pinnacle.

The line-up on ‘I Am of Ireland’, reads like a who’s who of the mainly Irish but also Irish American and British folk music world. There’s plenty of enjoyable music here and if it guides you back to Yeats’ poetry, well, that’s a worthwhile bonus.

Daphne’s Flight return two decades after their impressive debut with Knows Time, Knows Change. Individually they are classy performers, together they are utterly sublime. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take quite so long before they take flight again.
