This Friday, Boo Hewerdine returns with two brand new songs including ‘Wanderlust’, the first fruits of the sessions for his next studio album, due in 2021 on Reveal Records.

To describe the album as sounding effortless is intended as the highest compliment. Unorthodox it may be, however, with “Before”, Boo has triumphed in having simultaneously managed not only to evoke the past but to do so with great originality.

The Ballad of Child Migration takes to the road in November 2018 featuring an All-star cast with award-winning folk artists: John McCusker, Michael McGoldrick, Boo Hewerdine, O’Hooley & Tidow, Chris While, Julie Matthews, John Doyle, Jez Lowe, Andy Seward, Andy Cutting and narrated by Barbara Dickson.

On Swimming in Mercury, Boo Hewerdine offers lush arrangements, affectionate homages to different musical styles from the years gone by, and a mix of playfulness and quiet poignancy in the lyrics. An eloquent album.
