Bella Hardy showed her folk roots were well-watered during her performance at Cecil Sharp House as part of her Hey Sammy acoustic tour. A broad and diverse set blended both her traditional and contemporary influences. A wonderful concert.

Bella Hardy fans now have the opportunity hear her performing her latest album ‘Hey Sammy’ with stripped back instrumentation as she heads out on tour this autumn with only her two fiddles and harmonium for company.

Created with the aid of a successful Kickstarter campaign, Bella Hardy’s new album is filled with a new-found freedom. If this gets anywhere the amount of airplay it deserves it could well win Hardy a host of new fans.

‘Hey Sammy’ is the long-awaited ninth solo album by Edale-born singer songwriter Bella Hardy, a record that bears the stamps of extensive musical expeditions far from home. Listen to ‘Learning to Let Go’ exclusively on Folk Radio UK.

While no means a typical Bella Hardy album, many will adore the fusion of cultures, traditions and musical styles that populate Eternal Springs, it is a beautiful recording.

Bella Hardy has successfully completed a Kickstarter campaign to begin recording her new album in January 2017 and we have a Christmas Song of the Day with Blue Christmas.
