apple of my eye

Somewhere between bedtime story and post-apocalyptic climate fable, Xandor is our Song of the Day and the new single from experimental folk band Apple of My Eye.

Gone To Ground is the new single from London formed, Bristol-based folk ensemble Apple of My Eye. Timed to coincide with the anniversary of the fire at Grenfell Tower, an official launch event will take place on 23rd June at The Gresham Centre in Central London.

Our latest mix is chock full of new music from the likes of Nessi Gomes, Lisa Hannigan, Ruth Theodore, Kaia Kater, The Gentle Good and more plus some vintage tunes from Led Zeppelin (live in Paris), The Amazing Blondel and Tim Hardin.

Any chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Apple Of My Eye are happily lacking in any such weak links, and as a result, they have produced one of the most exciting folk albums of the year so far.

Apple of my Eye continue their ascent into the alt folk world with the release their new studio album The Beast Below on 19 September. To mark the announcement, we have the pleasure in premiering the video for the title track.

Our Song of the Day comes from Apple of my Eye via their new video for ‘Young One’. It’s from their forthcoming third album which Arran reveals more about including the addition of Jo Silverston to the band – creating a full string section.
