Beat Poet Allen Ginsberg put together his first music album ‘First Blues‘ between 1971 – 1983. It will now be reissued by Ginsberg Recordings on vinyl and digital. We look back at its making.

Andrew Vladeck of New York City is releasing not only his EP Passing Knowledge this spring, but a book by the same title. It is also the first edition of the Pocket Songster Series, paying homage to the Pocket Poet Series of San Francisco and through which Beat poet Allen Ginsberg’s works were printed.

Following the 50th anniversary in 2007 of Jack Kerouac’s world renowned novel ‘On the Road’, interest in the beat generation went on the rise with the film industry quick to pick up on the trend. On the Road is due for release this year and filming has begun on Big Sur.
