In August 2010, French film maker Vincent Moon went to the Baltic island of Als where he met up with the Danish eight piece band, Efterklang. The objective was to shoot a film. A film with the same length as an album, and a film full of performances, experiments and collaborations. The results went way beyond their expectations.

This is turning into a weird week. Caught this today…The Ting Tings have re-mixed Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues. Appears to be a Record Day feature run by Sony to encourage all you folks out there that fancy a go at mixing…not sure about the idea personally but they pull it off ok (if you like the idea of killing a good song)…watch the video below:

EELS have surprised fans by announcing a World Tour. This will be their first tour since the release of their album trilogy (HOMBRE LOBO, END TIMES, TOMORROW MORNING) in 2010. To kick things off they are giving away a free track from each album which you can grab below.

Fleet Foxes have just revelealed a video to the song Grown Ocean taken from their forthcoming album Helplessness Blues. The video features documentary footage which you can watch below along with an earlier documentary covering Robin Pecknold opening for Joanna Newsom.

Ra Ra Riot have announced details of their flying UK tour dates in May, their last being over 2 years ago. Their UK presence will be short-lived appearing at only three venues before heading off to Darnstadt, Germany. Listen and watch recent live appearances below.

Jác are a six-piece folk-pop ensemble that cross a mix of genres infused by Latin and European influenced instrumentations including horns, classical strings, ukulele, mandolin, accordion, and group vocal harmonies. Comparisons to Beirut would be more than justified but the band are by no means following in their tread.

This wonderful film from director Austin Wilson looks behind the scenes at Alela Diane and her forthcoming album. Shot entirely in her Portland home the film offers a very down to earth view of everyday life as well as a little insight into her inspirations and her new album.

It has to be said that the tUnE-yArDs new video to Bizness is nothing short of brilliant! A whole bunch of kids from Miraloma Elementary took part in the project.
