Christopher Paul Stelling, whose Labor Against Waste we recently reviewed, had a surprise in store for more than just the audience at this year’s Newport Folk Festival.

Our Song of the Day comes from Jono McCleery with a cover of Robert Wyatt’s ‘Age of Self’. The track is taken from his forthcoming new album Pagodes. Wyatt released the song as a single in 1984 to raise funds for the miners strike. John Tams was on the b-side.

Gilmore & Roberts have unveiled their new video for Cecilia which features on their forthcoming new album Conflict Tourism. The album was produced by Mark Tucker and features Matt Downer (Jamie Smith’s Mabon), Phil Henry (Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin) and James ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson (Bonnie Raitt).
