From now and into the New Year there are some great Folk and Americana acts lined up at London’s Kings Place including Talisk, Melrose Quartet, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Julie Fowlis, Lúnasa and The Albion Christmas Band.

In support of his new release ‘Gathering’, Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band will kick off an extensive tour this winter, including a date at London’s Shepherd Bush Empire for which we have a great Giveaway.

Tom Waits and longtime songwriting and production partner Kathleen Brennan are to remix his 2004 groundbreaking album ‘Real Gone’ which will have a sound and texture originally envisioned by the artist.

Billy Bragg has shared a new lyric video for his poignant Not Everything That Counts Can Be Counted which features on his new mini-album Bridges Not Walls released earlier this month on Cooking Vinyl.

Our Song of the Day comes via a new video for The Gulley from that inventive folk duo India Electric Co. It opens their new EP, Seven Sisters which is not only their folkiest release to date but also a superb showcase of the duo’s talents which has them at their most inventive.  Their best yet.

The Celtic Connections festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2018. In true Celtic Connections style the festival will feature an ambitious and eclectic line-up of musicians from all corners of the world who have been invited to take to the Glasgow stage early next year.

Yesterday saw the release of Woodpigeon’s new 10-track EP Devastating, a collection of b-sides, demos, and remixes from his 2016 album TROUBLE which is accompanied by a new music video filmed in Vienna by Lorenz Tröbinger.
