Springs is the new brainchild of guitarist and vocalist Mike Visser. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa he spent 8 years in California playing with the band Frank Jordan and touring the United States. After that project dissipated, he bounced from Sacramento, CA to Shwanksville, PA before settling in Brooklyn and setting to work on new material.

For the last 5 years, living in a car, booking his own shows, producing all his own music, Paleo has become something of a mantlepiece in the American house show circuit. His tour history is a database for kindred spirits: over 700 shows across the US, about 150 a year since 2005. Daytrotter’s Sean Moeller playfully crowned him their Poet Laureate in 2007. Dark Night Of The Soul is a music and visual art project instigated and helmed by Danger Mouse. This unique, unconventional endeavour unites a wonderful album length piece of music by Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and a host of guest vocalists with a collection of original David Lynch photography. David Lynch’s imagery is wholly inspired by and based on the music providing a visual narrative to the record.

Lost in the Trees managed to catch the attention of La Blogotheque. The band recently signed to Anti and have an album due out this month called All Alone in an Empty House which maybe inspired the setting for these videos.
