Shrewsbury Folk Festival, as part of its All Together Now project, have commissioned folk musician John Kirkpatrick to create a unique archive of traditional music from Shropshire, the first ever collection of music that has its origins in the county.

The Rachel Hamer Band will record their debut album with the support of a songwriter’s bursary created in memory of the late Middlesbrough songwriter Graeme Miles. They will also perform alongside The Unthanks, The Wilsons, The Young’uns and more, at a special tribute show to Graeme.

We have a beautiful song premiere and free download from Brazialian born Eric Taylor Escudero with The Uncountable Colours of The Sky. Joined by Ana Luísa Ramos on backing vocals, the joint-effect is both haunting and otherworldly, creating moments that intertwine and compliment his poetic lyrics.
