Simon Haines has been involved in folk music in many different ways for the best part of 40 years. In addition to being a freelance music journalist, he runs a folk club in Suffolk and is editor of Mardles.org, a website which covers folk music events in East Anglia. He performs in a number of folk bands playing melodeon, concertina, hurdy gurdy and various other instruments.
