Shrewsbury Folk Festival announces a further wave of artists for 2023, including Joachim Cooder, Moya Brennan, The Dreamer’s Circus, The Hanging Stars, Reg Meuross and more.

Indie folk singer-songwriter Ivan Moult is set to release his third album “Songs From Severn Grove” tomorrow on Welsh label Bubblewrap Records. You can hear it in full and read Ivan’s Track-by-Track guide on Folk Radio today.

Shirley Collins returns with Archangel Hill, her third album for Domino. Due for release on May 26th, she has today shared her lead single and video ‘High and Away’. The album showcases another peerless collection of songs chosen by Collins, most from traditional sources but others from favourite writers of hers.

Gretchen Peters returns to the UK in May for her final run of shows, following her announcement that she will retire from full-scale touring this year. She Said “It’s important to me to have the opportunity to let UK fans know just how much their support has meant to me. I literally don’t think I’d have a touring career without them.”

Terry Emm premieres the animated video for his calypso-inspired ‘Island Soul’, the third single to come from his forthcoming album ‘Wish You Were Here’, due out May 19th. It features the sweet vocals of Maz O’Connor and multi-instrumentalist Lukas Drinkwater who also produced the track.
