After three long years, the Orkney Folk Festival returns to a full-scale live event this weekend. Folk fans at home can also tune into this weekend’s festivities, with the addition of three recently announced live-streamed festival concerts.

The Magpie Arc, the cross-Border band out of Sheffield and Scotland featuring the multi-award-winning talents and wide musical influences of Nancy Kerr, Findlay Napier, Tom Wright, Alex Hunter and Martin Simpson, take flight in 2022 with selected tour dates and festivals.

USA folk-roots duo Vivian Leva & Riley Calcagno are heading to the UK for a short tour in late May/early June 2022, including appearances at two festivals: Bluegrass Omagh in Northern Ireland and Fire in the Mountain in Wales.

Amythyst Kiah reveals her alt-rock influences on her latest single, a cover of Tori Amos’ ‘Sugar’, who is also one of her musical mentors. She has a number of UK & European dates this summer and later in the year.
