Today, marks the release of ‘The Longest Night’, a very welcome seasonal offering from one of our favourite bands, The Furrow Collective. Their winter tour ‘We Know By The Moon’, also kicks off this month.

Iona Lane recently participated in Making Tracks, an international music exchange programme. While there, she recorded a lovely session at Peaton Layo beach. She performs Western Tidal Swell on a beautiful Taran guitar, the song is taken from her stunning debut album Hallival.

Taken from her latest album ‘Out of this Frame’, watch the video for Rachel Taylor-Beales’s ‘Fire Girl’, a song inspired by fire spinner Steffi Wulf. There is also a short film in which Steffi responds to the song and tells her moving and inspiring story.

‘The Wedding Above in Glencree’, is the much anticipated fourth solo album from Dublin’s own Daoirí Farrell. Listen to his first album single ‘Sonny’s Dream’ – a song by Ron Hynes about the hopes and dreams of a young boy.

Last month, James Yorkston, Nina Persson and The Second Hand Orchestra announced their new album The Great White Sea Eagle. Due for release on January 13th, they have today shared the second cut from the record, “An Upturned Crab”.

The Amish record label are to reissue P.G. Six’s 2001 solo debut ‘Parlor Tricks and Porch Favorites’ as an expanded and remastered edition that includes an eight-song bonus LP entitled ‘Live Cuts and Radio Favorites’ documenting performances from the calendar year just before and after the release.

Phil Tyler and Sarah Hill’s ‘What We Thought Was A Lake Was A Field Of Flax’ is an exceptional album. Engaging and intriguing in equal measure, it’s certainly one of the best albums of 2022.
