Valerie June reimagines the blues standard “Rollin’ and Tumblin’” with her latest standalone single. Drawing inspiration from the darker, heavier sounds of Black Sabbath, June runs her banjo through a fuzzy electric amp to break traditional boundaries. This fierce, amplified reconstruction is dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne and arrives as she continues her international Big Ole Worldwide Tour following her acclaimed album, Owls, Omens, and Oracles.
Acclaimed songwriter Jana Horn will release her self-titled third album on January 16, 2026. The announcement is paired with a new video for the opening track, “Go on, move your body.” Written during a difficult move to New York, the album was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Texas and follows her lauded 2023 release, The Window Is The Dream.
Tōth (Alex Toth of Rubblebucket) has announced his new LP, And The Voice Said, out February 27, 2026. Co-produced by Caroline Rose and featuring Kimbra, the record is about “surviving yourself.” Tōth calls the music “equal parts prayer and punchline.” He shared the infectious new single, “Not Broken,” accompanied by a joyous documentary-style video filmed on Coney Island.
Multi-award-winning Irish duo Ye Vagabonds announce their fourth album, ‘All Tied Together’, releasing Jan 30th, 2026, via River Lea. Recorded live in Galway with producer Philip Weinrobe (Big Thief), the intimate new record is previewed by the lead single ‘On Sitric Road’, available now. The band will headline London’s Roundhouse in June 2026.
Bill Callahan announces My Days of 58, his eighth album and shares lead single, “The Man I’m Supposed To Be”. He applies the “living, breathing energies” of his live shows to the studio, sharpening his “slice-of-life portraiture”. The album, featuring his core touring band, embraces unpredictability, with Callahan describing it as a “‘living room record'” in attitude and vibe, “not too loud, not otherworldly”.
Brother Wallace, a “force of nature” bred on gospel, steps into the solo spotlight with his electrifying debut single, “Who’s That.” A triumphant, joyful blast of soul, the track flips heartbreak on its head with grit and Memphis horns. Produced by Dan Taylor (The Heavy), it announces Wallace’s signing to ATO Records and a new era for the show-stopping vocalist.
Robyn Hitchcock’s “Invisible Hitchcock (Outtakes and Demos)” gets a re-release on December 15th. Originally from 1986, the collection gathers home recordings and studio outtakes from his fertile 1981-1985 period, which produced albums like I Often Dream of Trains. Hitchcock preferred this “homemade” approach, avoiding the “digital patina” of 1980s pop to capture his best, most intimate performances.
Black Sweat Records releases Mariolina Zitta’s Concert For Bats, Voices and Natural Sounds. This arcane work, born from speleology and sound archaeology, is a “magical ritual” celebrating bats. Using special detectors, Zitta transforms bat calls into an organic synthesiser, fusing them with natural instruments like stalactites and bone whistles, plus harmonic singing. A total sensory experience.

BBC Folk Award-winner Sam Carter announces The Oakham Poacher, his first solo collection of traditional songs. The title track explores a local legend from his Rutland childhood, telling the true story of the last man hanged at Oakham Castle. Carter says, “There’s something shared between the spirit of the folk singer and the poacher; both acts reclaim what was always ours to begin with.”
London-based songwriter Elanor Moss has officially signed to Merge Records. She celebrated the announcement by releasing a new single and video, “Again, My Love.” The contemplative track, her first since 2023’s Cosmic EP, uses muted horns and guitar to explore themes of transition, loss, and growth. It serves as a preview for a new project expected in 2026.
