Billed as one of the key folk music events of 2017, the 40th-anniversary revival of Peter Bellamy’s most revered work The Transports is to tour again in January 2018. Coinciding with the tour will be the release of the live recording of The Transports on January 12 on Hudson Records, a landmark album destined to become a collector’s item.

Sardinian guitarist Paolo Angeli has released a double album featuring performances captured live from some 60 concerts. His music is unclassifiable, a bit like his guitar which on closer inspection reveals an instrument that sits somewhere between guitar, cello and drums.

Our Song of the Day comes from Brooklyn-based folk singer Ana Egge. We Are One is Ana’s new single which was co-written with Gary Nicholson. In sharing it she said, “Art, beauty and love, that is what we need to renew ourselves with to make a better world.”
