Pianos are being thrown away at a tremendous rate – hauled away, set on fire and their valuable heavy metal sold for scrap. Tim, Leon and their team of inspired artists, musicians and volunteers have reclaimed these unloved instruments to build the world’s first 100-seater amphitheatre made entirely from up-cycled pianos.

Calexico and Iron & Wine are to release a collaborative album ‘Years To Burn’ this coming Friday, watch the Making Of mini-documentary – They will also be touring together including London’s Royal Festival Hall and a headline slot at Cambridge Folk Festival.

Last month saw the release of Londoner Alex Seel‘s latest LP Spell on a Tin Drum. Our Song of the Day is the closing track of the album titled Quietus on which you can hear the influence of Bert Jansch and John Renbourn.
