The Thousand Incarnations of the Rose is a 3-day music festival bringing together for the first time more than 25 acoustic fingerstyle guitar and banjo players from every era of the American Primitive/Guitar Soli movement. Listen to a special playlist put together by Tompkins Square.

Wood for the Trees, the title track on Fran Wyburn’s forthcoming debut album, is released today. Fran collaborated with artist and filmmaker Ray Kane to create the music video as a quirky, moving visual accompaniment, watch it here.

On March 23rd, Tompkins Square is to release ‘Ceremony of Dreams: Studio Sessions & Outtakes, 1972-1977’. It features 30 previously unreleased tracks from the mid-seventies experimentalists Entourage. Listen in full to the album here.

Laish recorded a live session to an invited audience at Brighton Electric Studios and they have just revealed the first video from that session, an extended version of Time Elastic, the title track of their new album due for release on 13 April via Talitres.

On 2 March 2018 Ginger Wildheart is to release his new album, the aptly titled ‘Ghost In The Tanglewood’. A seamless mix of country, folk, roots and rock, the record showcases Ginger’s song-writing maturity as he wears his heart and influences on his sleeve.

Watch the new video from Xylouris White for Daphne (also our Song of the Day). It features both Jim White and George Xylouris’s mothers dancing in their separate homelands. May will see Xylouris White returning to Europe for a tour which includes a residency at London’s Café Oto.

Scottish folk singer songwriter Kris Drever announces Spring UK Tour including a headline show at London’s Union Chapel. Support for the tour will come from Hannah Read, whose latest album is currently a Featured Album of the Month on FRUK.
