Our Song of the Day comes from three world-class musicians who celebrate the traditional music of Wales: Oliver Wilson-Dickson, Jamie Smith and Dylan Fowler. Legendary singer, songwriter, activist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Baez, has announced an extensive 2018 world tour including UK dates. In conjunction with the tour she will release a new studio album: ‘Whistle Down The Wind’ via Proper Records in early March 2018.

Subtitled Songs of the Sea, Coast, Fishing, Rivers, Lovers and Banishment, The Turn of the Tide is Pete McClelland’s second album within a few months. We recommend you should put the boat out and shore up the collection with this too.

Massachusetts folk-country quartet, The Novel Ideas offer up a hugely rewarding listen on their self-titled third album which has a highly attractive Americana sound dealing with themes of love and loss.

With her UK and European tour about to kick off, Jesca Hoop has revealed a new stop-motion animation for Pegasi which was directed by Rachel Blumberg. The song is taken from her album Memories are Now, her Sub Pop debut released earlier this year.
