Multi-award-winning Irish folk trailblazers Ye Vagabonds have announced their much-anticipated fourth studio album, ‘All Tied Together’, slated for release on January 30th, 2026. This marks their third record for Rough Trade’s prestigious folk imprint, River Lea. To mark the news, the band has shared the deeply evocative lead single, ‘On Sitric Road’. The track offers a perfect entry point into the album’s intimate world, accompanied by a live video recorded by KLOF Mag favourite Myles O’Reilly amidst the bookshelves of the Lilliput Press bookshop in Stoneybatter, Dublin.
Recorded live in a house in Galway, ‘All Tied Together’ was helmed by acclaimed producer Philip Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrianne Lenker). The album is described as a powerful and cinematic collection of original songs steeped in memory, tribute, and gratitude. A strong sense of “home” prevails throughout, exploring both physical dwellings and the inner refuge sought by those longing for connection. “All these songs have addresses,” notes co-frontman Diarmuid Mac Gloinn. “They’re about specific locations and specific people.” The brothers also cite the nuanced storytelling of fiction writers George Saunders and Claire Keegan as key inspirations for this new body of work.
The signature brotherly harmonies and multi-instrumental prowess of Diarmuid and Brían Mac Gloinn remain the foundation of the album. They were joined in Galway by an impressive ensemble, including multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily (Laura Viers, Cass McCombs), Alain McFadden, Caimin Gilmore, Kate Ellis, Sam Amidon, Romain Bly, and Louise Gaffney.
While Ye Vagabonds first achieved renown as masterful purveyors of their ancestors’ music, recent years have seen them increasingly focus on honing their own potent original material, bringing their interpretation of the Irish folk tradition to global audiences. ‘All Tied Together’ follows their critically acclaimed 2022 album ‘Nine Waves’ and their RTÉ Radio One Folk Award-winning single ‘I’m A Rover,’ the video for which premiered on KLOF Mag. The band will spend the remainder of 2025 touring, including US dates supporting I’m With Her, before embarking on further international dates in 2026. This run will culminate in their largest UK headline show to date at the London Roundhouse in June 2026.
As we’ve said before on KLOF Mag, Ye Vagabonds continue to be “at the forefront of an ever-evolving, flourishing Irish folk scene and have done so in the most understated and inspired fashion imaginable.”
