Midlake is set to release their eagerly awaited sixth studio album, A Bridge To Far, next Friday, 7th November, via Bella Union. Ahead of the release, the Denton, Texas band has shared the final pre-release single, “Eyes Full Of Animal,” described as a “groove-based psychedelic beauty.”
The track follows previous singles “The Ghouls”, “Days Gone By” and “The Calling,” building anticipation for an album already drawing rave reviews.
Recorded at The Echo Lab with producer Sam Evian, the sessions for A Bridge To Far were reportedly “instinctive and unforced.” The album explores hope as a human necessity. “Hope is a need,” says frontman Eric Pulido. “To look beyond, above what is.” This ethos translated into a sound that is both atmospheric and grounded—”cinematic without excess, deeply felt without sentimentality.”
A Bridge To Far captures the spirit of a band still motivated by connection—a quiet triumph born from trust and time. The album arrives on 7th November.
