Chicago’s boogie-rockers Glyders are ready to make a major mark, announcing their signing with legendary label Drag City and a new album, ‘Forever’, set to drop on November 21, 2025. To celebrate the news, the band has shared their relentless new single and video, “Stone Shadow,” a T-Rex and new-wave-infused track that promises to ignite any party.
Glyders, originally formed in 2014 by guitarist/vocalist Joshua Condon and bassist Eliza Weber, have solidified their lineup with the addition of drummer Joe Seger. This new power-trio formation, forged through extensive touring across the US and Europe, is the driving force behind ‘Forever’. The album is a collection of road-tested jams and a few classic old-school tunes, all captured with a fresh, full-band energy.
“Stone Shadow,” the first taste of this new era, is a hard-slapping rocker that doesn’t let up with Condon declaring, “Ain’t got no money / I just wanna have a ball,” while shimmering synths and a sharp guitar break cut through the mix. The accompanying music video, filmed by the band and Liv Mershon, captures their energy with shots of the trio at a cemetery.
Clocking in at a lean 37 minutes, ‘Forever’ was recorded at Glyders’ own Studio “G” in Chicago’s Humboldt Park and mixed by Cooper Crain. The album title and Eliza Weber’s cover art reflect a “for life” ethos, blending classic roots with a punk collage style that feels like a family credo. With a West Coast tour and a Chicago album release show on the horizon, Glyders are just getting started.
