Mixtape: KLOF No. 52 (Folk, Alternative, Ambient)

Three of the tracks (from David Moore & Stephanie Coleman, Natalia Beylis, Luke Schneider) are taken from Across the Horizon Vol. 1 (available to stream now). This year-long artist-curated exploration of instrumental music brings together pioneers from across ambient, folk, and experimental worlds. The release was organised by Northern Spy Records and Bob Holmes of SUSS, and choosing just three tracks was no easy task. The idea behind the project is that each drop begins with one artist’s vision. That artist shares a new track of their own, then invites two others to contribute original work. Together, these selections trace a kind of sonic kinship across genre, geography, and imagination.

The release, which is available now as a complete album, recently closed out with music from William Tyler, claire rousay, and Julianna Barwick. Vol. 2 will begin in January 2026, with curation from Clarice Jensen, more eaze, Balmorhea, Chuck Johnson, Alan Sparhawk, Mary Lattimore, East Forest and More.

There is also a track from an expanded, gatefold 2XLP version of P.G. Six‘s second album, ‘The Well of Memory‘, originally released in 2004. This 2025 expanded edition (released via Amish Records) includes a bonus LP entitled ‘Lost and Live”. The LP includes six previously unreleased songs from ‘The Well of Memory’ sessions and a handful of live versions of songs from the album.
