With her new single ‘Get Your Hopes Up’, Eve Adams delivers a spirited, shimmering bar-room stomper. The track is a charming introduction to her forthcoming album, American Dust, set for release on August 22nd, 2025, via Basin Rock.
The album itself is a eulogy for the American dream and a faded love letter to the haunting beauty of the American Southwest. It’s an ode to the vast landscapes that hold stories both stark and tender. “The same swirling dust that clung to the covered wagons of my ancestors… is the same dust that blows in through the cracks in my windows here in the desert,” Adams reflects, framing the deeply personal narrative woven through the record.
Against this sweeping backdrop, ‘Get Your Hopes Up’ lands with an infectious swagger. Shaping a love for Nancy Sinatra into something beguilingly her own, the track is a masterclass in bar-room blues. “It’s a gentle dare to feel something again,” Adams says of the song. “Hope is risky, of course—but so is giving up on love.”
A follow-up to 2021’s Metal Bird, American Dust sees Adams move from dream-like turbulence to traditional storytelling, stepping into the shoes of those who inhabit these mythic lands. Produced by Bryce Cloghesy (Military Genius), it’s a musically bold and vivid stride forward.
