Mac DeMarco is back with his highly anticipated new album, Guitar, set to drop on August 22, 2025, via Mac’s Record Label. This self-produced effort, written and recorded entirely at his Los Angeles home in November 2024, promises a deeply personal reflection of his current life. “I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper,” DeMarco shared.
The album’s lead single, “Home,” offers a poignant glimpse of this introspection. DeMarco describes it as a song “about what home means to me,” with lyrics like, “These days I’d much rather be on my own // No more walking those streets // That I once called my home.” The accompanying video, self-shot while canoeing near his mother’s new home in Canada, further encapsulates this intimate narrative.
Fans can catch Mac live on an expanded tour, featuring UK dates in November 2025, including a London show at Eventim Apollo on November 10. He’ll then head to Asia and the US in 2026, supported by fellow Mac’s Record Label artists: Mock Media, Tex Crick, Daryl Johns, and Vicky Farewell. Tickets for all new shows go on sale this Friday, June 27th at 12pm ET. https://www.macdemarco.com/tour/
