Following last year’s A Chaos Of Flowers, “a visceral, moving, complex and gloriously heavy piece of work”, BIG|Brave recently announced OST, their most naked and austere record to date. That album announcement arrived alongside their first single, innominate Nº ii, which brings the ensemble’s exploration into minimalism and textural composition into stunning focus.
Today, ahead of an extensive UK and EU tour, they have shared their latest single innominate Nº vi. The piece serves as an ode to the band’s subtlety, combining metallic scrapes, a droning low-end thrum and otherworldly textures that bely guitarist/vocalist Robin Wattie’s wavering hum. Each gesture is viscerally felt and inspires close listening.
BIG|BRAVE’s tour, which starts in one week, includes sets at FIAS Festival, Roadburn Festival, and a special “sonic faceoff set” with The Bug in London.
