Today, Hailing from Bristol, Full Time Hobby shared news of their latest signing, Eva May. You can check out her debut single and video ‘Where Does The Time Go’ below. This fabulous slice of 70’s AM radio folk rock is our Song of the Day.
Talking about the song, Eva May shared:
“I wrote this song after a couple of years out of making music so it was like stepping back into something that felt familiar yet at the same time new and exciting. I was reflecting on what music I wanted to be making and what I wanted to be doing in life so the song almost wrote itself. I’d been looking through old family photos, thinking about the connection I have to my younger self as time passes.”
While channelling that West Coast vibe associated with the likes of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, her music also sits within those blurred edges of folk, country, and pop occupied by the likes of Marina Allen. She will be supporting the magical Ora Cogan in Bristol on June 25th; that’s a perfect pairing–don’t miss it. Definitely a name to watch for.
