Last month, Irish folk musician Niamh Bury announced her highly anticipated debut album, Yellow Roses, which will be released via Claddagh Records on Friday, 29th March. Yellow Roses was produced by Brian Brían Mac Gloinn of Ye Vagabonds and features ten songs, including Niamh’s latest single, Budapest, the music video for which we recently shared here (Directed and produced by Ellius Grace and featuring Fianna Nolan).
Today, Niamh has shared a live performance of Budapest, which was filmed in CoisCéim, Dublin, directed by one of KLOF Mag’s favourites Myles O’Reilly and cinematographer Stephen Mogerley. Accompanying Niamh is Ryan Hargadon on Piano, Graham Heaney on Double Bass and Aongus MacAmhlaigh on Cello.
Niamh previously shared the following on the song: “Budapest was written during a cold February in Dublin. It’s about the places we escape to in our imaginations – outer space or a city we’re dreaming of packing up and leaving to. It’s about the yearning to step outside of your own story to chase that feeling of being a small part of a bigger picture.”
