Hailing from the windy Texas Panhandle, acoustic guitarist and soundscape composer Hayden Pedigo has announced a European tour for February 2024. The tour includes four UK dates, including London’s Waiting Room and Glasgow’s The Glad Cafe (see full dates below). He is also on tour in the US in December, including dates with Devendra Banhart.
Hayden recently visited the NPR offices to record a Tiny Desk concert. His set includes two songs from his latest offering, The Happiest Times I Ever Ignored, and Carthage, from his 2021 album Letting Go. He shared the following about the session:
“I was so excited to go to DC and tape a Tiny Desk at the NPR office. Honestly, it was the most nerve-racking thing I have ever done. It was pretty surreal being there in person and it was so insane getting to see the entire process of shooting a tiny desk. Luckily after soundcheck my nerves calmed down and I had so much fun playing my songs for the very kind staff at NPR music.
“Honestly, it was one of the coolest/most fun things I have ever done. I can’t wait for y’all to see it! I did a really fun selection of songs on acoustic and electric guitars. I think y’all will dig it!!”
